Dear Friends,

Watch THE RIDE * &

Join the TEAM to support our

Marvelous, multi-talented bay mare:

One of the great CATR veterans,

Unfailingly kind,

She takes care of her riders

Every time!

I have known Mouse since she was a privately owned and very successful, hunter/jumper show horse. She could FLY, and still does when asked! Her experience, athleticism, and good sense are tremendous assets in her work with CATR. I can depend on her to be a steady partner in my lessons for whatever we're doing. Students can throw balls, play games, ride backwards, practice patterns, navigate obstacles, trail ride or learn grooming and Mouse is always a patient teacher and willing participant. She also has an amazingly soft coat and mane. She gets lots of hugs and has fans of all ages. You can be one too!

Please consider helping me "Pony Up" for Team Mouse!  Each $25 I raise will provide a therapy horse for one lesson for a student with a disability.

THANK YOU!

Meet Mouse

Mouse is a Selle Français mare born in 1993.  You may have seen her in "The Ride," a film shot at CATR that tells the story of a little girl's love of riding and how it has helped her learn to take her first steps.  Mouse may be a movie star, but her favorite job is being a therapy horse!

At Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding, therapy horses like Mouse are the foundation of our program.  Their forgiving temperaments, calm spirits and steady gaits bring joy, mobility and achievement to the children and adults with disabilities who ride at CATR.  For each of our students, a therapy horse can be one of their most meaningful companions, providing them with a uniquely rewarding and life-changing experience.

We hope you will Pony Up for CATR!  A donation of just $25 gives a student the most valuable piece of their therapeutic riding lesson – a therapy horse!
